Shaheen & Gordon is proud to announce that Attorney Lyndsay Robinson has been awarded the 2023 Bruce E. Friedman Pro Bono Award.
This award is presented by 603 Legal Aid in conjunction with the Warren B. Rudman Center for Justice, Leadership and Public Service. It honors UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law graduate and member of the New Hampshire Bar who exemplifies Bruce Friedman’s commitment to representing the indigent through exemplary pro bono service. Professor Friedman was the founder of the law school's civil practice clinic.
Lyndsay Robinson is a member of Shaheen & Gordon’s family law group and also practices in the fields of estate planning, probate administration, and immigration. Her commitment to pro bono service has been present since the start of her legal career. In six years of practice, Robinson has taken on 38 pro bono cases through 603 Legal Aid and has donated over 667 hours of her time. Lyndsay’s volunteering includes assisting victims of domestic violence obtain protective orders through the DOVE project, representing people seeking divorces or parenting orders, and learning new areas of law to further assist individuals.
Earlier this year, Lyndsay was also the recipient of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation's 2023 Robert E Kirby Award, which is presented to an attorney 35 years old or younger who demonstrates the traits of civility, courtesy, perspective, and excellent advocacy. Lyndsay’s dedication to her profession and commitment to giving back to her community is present in everything she does.
In addition to her active legal practice, Lyndsay currently serves on the boards of the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association and the New Hampshire Bar Foundation. She teaches Legal Writing & Analysis to first-year law students at UNH and serves on the Ethics Committee for the City of Nashua.
At the Bruce Friedman award ceremony on October 18, 2023, the Honorable Charles S. Temple (JD ‘85) gave remarks on Professor Friedman’s legacy. Emma M. Sisti, Deputy Director of 603 Legal Aid, presented this year’s award to Attorney Robinson.
