Dover, NH -- Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., has elected two new shareholders, or partners, to the firm Faye Goldberg and Jared O’Connor.

Faye R. Goldberg’s practice focuses on family law, including divorce, legal separation, parenting rights and responsibilities and post-divorce matters. She began practicing law in 1986 in Hampton, where she continued to work for the next 30 years. Faye continues to represent clients at mediation, settlement negotiations and in all phases of litigation. Her practice is concentrated in complex domestic relations and parenting disputes. She has substantial experience in cases dealing in both large and small marital estates, including residential and commercial properties, closely held businesses, trusts and pensions, as well as alimony, insurance and other related matters. Many of her cases also include contested issues involving children in divorce and paternity cases, such as residential placement, parenting schedules, co-parenting and child support. In her practice, Faye works closely with other professionals in areas like real estate, parenting abilities, retirement benefits, financial planning, tax implications and business valuations, so that each client is provided comprehensive representation tailored to his or her unique case.
Jared has focused his legal career defending the interests of working men and women in New Hampshire who suffer injury on the job. After attending the University of New Hampshire and Boston College Law School, Jared interned for New Hampshire Legal Assistance and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Consumer Protection division before ultimately entering private practice in Nashua upon graduation. He quickly built a reputation for vigorous and compassionate advocacy on behalf of his workers’ compensation clients, protecting their rights, winning benefits and, when necessary, taking their cases to the New Hampshire Supreme Court to establish important victories that have changed the law for New Hampshire citizens. These include establishing the right of part-time workers to assert claims for job reinstatement and clarifying the legal standard to make it easier for injured workers to recover for their repetitive stress injuries. For these efforts, SuperLawyers recognized him as a “Rising Star” in the field of workers' compensation in both 2012 and 2013. Jared has also taken the lead in lobbying efforts and testifying before at the State Legislature to advocate for laws that will improve the rights of injured New Hampshire workers and is a frequent speaker at national and local seminars on workers’ compensation.
