With extensive experience in both state and federal trial and appellate courts, Jim brings a diverse skill set to produce real results for his clients. Jim is a skilled litigation attorney who works across multiple practice groups at Shaheen & Gordon, including complex business and commercial litigation matters, employment law, and administrative matters. In addition to his trial work, Jim also represents clients in appeals before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, as well as professional licensees before the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification. Irrespective of the matter, he brings the same dedicated, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to help his clients meet their goals.
Prior to joining Shaheen & Gordon, Jim was a law clerk for a judge with the prestigious United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also clerked for a trial judge in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Lackawanna County, where he managed a voluminous docket of complex civil matters. Jim has worked in multiple non-litigation settings, advising a range of individual and small business clients on a variety of legal issues relevant to their business.
Outside of the courtroom, Jim can usually be found near the ocean. Passionate about ocean conservation, Jim supports the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Blue Ocean Society in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
